VBM company was formed in 1998 by Forecreu, specialized in Cannulated round bars in stainless steels and titanium alloys for surgical instruments and implants.

From its beginning, VBM has been supported by the French Government authorities (OSEO, DREAL) to finance its research and development activities.

VBM company obtained the CE Marking class III of its resorbable femoral plug for cemented hip prosthesis in July 99. The company has been certified ISO 9001 & 13485 in May 2000 by the Notified body " LNE / G- MED ".
